A lot of women , real and down to earth women. they see more than a disability.

As 25% of the population will have a mental illness at some stage in their life, I guess people are doing this all the time.

What it would come down to ultimately is the nature of someone's disability. Lots of people have a missing limb, or can not see with one or both eyes. Some people are born without hearing or have lost theirs.

If people hide indoors all day, everyday, then they are unlikely to meet anyone, whether they are able bodied or not. I would therefore encourage you to get out and be seen if you are looking for a date, no matter who you are.

I know people are cruel to those that are different. If they only see one person who is "different" then that person will stand out. If there are many people who are "different", then they are no longer so unique.

Depends on the disability. I did for a couple of years; it was the first time I dated a guy I could keep up with.

I don't know.
I haven't asked them all.
I stopped asking when I met my wife.
Before that, it was about 50% yes, 50% no.
Might not have been the disability on the "no" side, though.
Compatibility might be a bigger player in the equation.

I've dated all kinds of men - disabled or not. It doesn't matter to me now and it didn't when I was able bodied.
