I don't know what bad health conditions aren't taken seriously but I do know what conditions are advertised that I'm sick and tired of hearing about and that's erectile dysfunction. I could live without those commercials, thank you.

Mental illness is not taken very seriously. I also do not hear a lot about autoimmune diseases. Heck, I am bombarded by so much pink that I didn't even know that October was also Lupus Awareness month.
