My daughter ALWAYS had to be swaddled to go to sleep or she couldnt sleep. Remember, even if you are hot, that doesnt mean that your baby is nessisarily. Especially at 6 weeks old, their bodys are still tiny and the smaller you are the less you hold heat. If she IS hot to the touch, then I suggest using a thin blanket... my grandma made these blankets that were just a piece of regular cotton cloth, with trim on them. I thought yeah right, when am I really going to use these things, they are thin! Well come summer, I figured it out ;) Especially a baby that young, that makes her feel safe being swaddled. So I say yes, go ahead and swaddle her and if she is hot, find a thinner blanket, just so she can be wrapped.

My big guy is 4 months and still LOVES to be swaddled. I was having a problem with him getting too hot and the thin little receiving blankets were too small. I took an old jersey knit sheet and cut it into larger blankets for him. It's thin enough to be cool but also has a little bit of give that other sheets don't have so he doesn't feel trapped. I have a little piece of a fuzzy blanket he holds on to for comfort when he is in the sheet.

Yes you should cover her, but make sure that she does not get too hot because that can be bad also. She should be alot tougher at 6 weeks than 1 or 2 weeks so as a rule of thumb gage how you feel. Are you hot or cold when you wear the equivalent amount of clothing as her? She will just be a tad more sensitive than you.

I'd wrap it to keep it from scratching its face all up. keeping your baby in a blanket isn't bad. If its hot...use a thinner blanket. Or turn on some ac. If you unwrap her...she'll do the crazy arms and legs thing that babies do...then they'll get all upset and confused.

There's a lot of fun things to do if you have a dog. Plenty in the summer! Training, socialising, walks, agility, parks, beaches ect. I'm guessing you feel rather lonely too? Getting a puppy would work wonders for you!

At night a warm body suit is enough to keep a baby warm especially if its a warm night. socks and a vest are also a great help for the wee one.

if its cold, dress him in a little sweater. But its advisable to let a baby sleep in a body suit because he/she may throw off the curves when turning.

As long as she doesn't get too hot then you can keep doing it just use thinner blankets like the muslin wraps you can buy

hi!

well i think if its really hot and if she is not sleeping in AC then its best to just cover her head and ear...i mean just make her to wear cap.......just try it for a day... do check her hands & feet if they seem cold then its best to continue wrapping her.........

As long as she's not warm or sweaty and the air inside your home is not too hot, why not? She will let you know when she doesn't like it and is uncomfortable.
