A year ago I was sexually harassed. Three of my closest friends know about this and they have been trying to convince me to file a report against this man. I'm just so afraid though that he will come back to hurt me or will send someone to hurt me. (He lives at my intersection) Are my friends right, should I tell one of my teachers? How do I get over the fear that I have?

I think you know the answer already. Your friends are correct. Tell you teachers and your parents.

I think they want you to report it so that if this guy harasses you again in the future, then he will go to jail. If you don't have a record of him harassing you many times, then often nothing can be done.

Also, perhaps he has a record of this, and if you put him on record. Then you can prevent other women from suffering too.

But if you are scared you should call a hotline and get some advice

It is always possible that he could send someone to hurt you or that he will come back to hurt you.

Your friends are right. You shouldn't let anyone get away with that, no matter who they are. Do not fear that he will get you if you report him. If you are afraid of him still, I'm sure you could get a restraining order on him.

Make sure you report him as soon as possible!!

you have to face your fears and not let some asshole dictate the way you are suppose to live your life and please tell your parents and tell them you want to report him to the police, if they don't listen you call them and make out a report. he will keep doing this to girls as long as no one stands up to this jerk. and when you report him tell the police what you said about being afaird they will help you with what ever you need to do to keep safe, so good luck to you.

you'll never get over the fear you have if you'll hide your problem forever. if you think it's right to file a report, then do it. just wash your fear away and face your problem with all your 'might'.

Yes, your friends are right, first step would be telling someone close to me like a parent. then with them decide whether or not to take action. if they know they can protect you from father harm

Yes, your friends are right! Tell your parents and your teachers NOW, TODAY! They will advise the police - and he will not hurt you, trust me. This fiend is a coward and should be punished. Good luck - and please remember, do it NOW!
