80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Life is what you make it out to be, how you shape and define it. There is no universal meaning to life. If you are trying to find a higher truth to the reason for our existence, I say there is none to be found. This is the existentialist viewpoint which I advocate and really makes the most sense to me.
Why are you looking forward to the afterlife and all its purported glories when there is so much things you can do while on this earthly plane to help others and alleviate the sufferings of countless people.
So if you really want to find a meaning to life, go out and serve others - really help and give your time and effort to help the needy, unselfishly and with no ulterior motives. That will make your life more meaningful rather than searching for the meaning of life itself which is nowhere to be found.

When some people say that they want an easy life, they actually mean it. When you profess such an aspiration, you are fibbing! Think, for a moment, about your lifestyle; the world you have created for yourself, the people you have chosen to populate it with, the challenges you have taken on, the responsibilities you have accepted, the dramas you have allowed yourself to become embroiled in. Really. An easy life? What you actually want is an 'easier' life.

That's for each of us to explore for ourselves in our lives, and there is no one answer. Those who believe in an afterlife consider the meaning of life to be a preparation for that. Those who don't believe in afterlife may find that life means nothing, or getting what they can out of it, or just enjoying the good things of it & trying to lead a good or happy life. good luck.

For me?
God has to be my source for the meaning in life!
To some it's their love, to some it's to be successful. To some it is to be famous!
But for me I know what God wants for my life through his Word. It's there that I find meaning and purpose. All the other
things just fall into place. At the right time and the right place.
Because God always knows better than I.JN

the logical meaning to life is to reproduce and keep the human race alive
but an individual or emotional reason can be either very easy or hard to find ... some ppl dedicate their lives to other people, some to creation .... dammit you can dedicate your life to a snail....
but, some are harder to please than others bro lol
you might not find a meaning to your life ... in your eyes there might not be a meaning .... but .... maybe you can find something fun to do while your alive

If I thought any more about what life meant to me or anyone else, I fear my head might explode. Who cares what it's about. People just live it, die, and other human beings are reproduced. Voila. Meaning
