I want to make a condolence poster for my friend and her son who died last month in a car accident. It's going to have their picture, name, birth to death date and I'm going to get as many friends as possible to sign it then I'm going to present it to her family. I need ideas for a design. It's only going to be 8X10 because I'm going to frame it. I was thinking about a rainbow with the picture under the rainbow, in the rainbow saying In Loving memory of.. Another idea I was thinking of was the picture in a heart overt he heart saying In Loving Memory of.. but I think both ideas are too childish. Anyone have any other ideas.
If this helps, my friend was a swimmer and played water polo. Her hobby was photography.

do the rainbow idea! you know how they say you can never find the end of a rainbow, use the rainbow as a metaphor for her son! its like her son will never end, because she`ll always remember her! just dont try to do too much! make the other stuff light and simple like a baby's room.

I like the rainbow, everything can seem cliche in this difficult
time, I think this is a wonder full idea. So, I duno, maybe some
water, it could reflect the rainbow, leaving the center for people to sign.

What about a rainbow (like you suggested)... then under the rainbow you could have a picture of God giving her a hug..

How about if you just matte their picture with a slightly wider matte than normal and have people sign the matte. No need to put the name and death date if you are giving it to the family, trust me, they will know.
