A couple of years ago I was in Sydney and I had rented a car. I was driving in the Tunnel under Sydney Harbour and there was no traffic, So I was really moving, going maybe 150. Not like a child is going to run out in front of me (the reason why I don't normally drive fast, especially in residential areas.) or a cop would be hiding behind a tree, (The reason I don't normally drive really fast on the motorway.) there was nowhere for a cop to hide! Where I'm from the gov't hasn't got there act together at all. So things like speed cameras are non-existant. So, several months later I am in a bookstore where City Road runs into George street, across the street from the big mall where Kmart is and I see a book of maps of the city of Sydney that says on the cover that it labels where all the speed cameras in the city are located. This book says that there are cameras in the tunnel, but I didn't get a ticket? Maybe because it was a rental and they never sent me the ticket? What gives?

Response to tentofield: Don't know when I'll be in Sydney again, and yes I do consider myself lucky. I don't plan on doing that again when I AM in Sydney again. I just didn't even know that the cameras existed, and therefore I thought there was no way for the cops to catch me. What is the speed limit in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, 90? I don't remember how fast I was going, maybe not quite 150, but I know I was going fast, at least 120. And it was relatively safe, because there was no traffic and I wasn't going fast enought to lose control.
