Yes, you will have to pay. You should want to help take care of your baby. The baby cannot help what the two of you decided to do in order for her to get pregnant. The reality is that the baby must be taken care of. If two people are responsible enough to lay down together. then they should be responsible enough to except the outcome of their actions. Remember that you will always be the dad. Dads are suppose to help provide for their children. You can still go back to college, but this baby should be the #1 choice. Don't let your baby grow up not knowing it's father. Work and make your money, but also help your baby as much as you can. This baby can grow up knowing that its father loved it and wanted the best for it. I don't know the exact amount of how much you would have to pay. Maybe you and the mother can come to an agreement on what you need to pay. If not you could talk to a lawyer for that information. It's both you and the mothers responsibility to this child, even if theparents don't stay together. Make sure that the amount that you have to pay is documented by the courts. This may help you for future purposes.

Yep. If you have a kid you owe the child support. The mother can take you to court on behalf of the minor child and ask for support. And the judge will order it based on prior earnings and future earnings if you are not working. And the judge won't care about college. Your kid has to eat. That comes first. Poor kid, cause you sound like a deadbeat jerk of a father.
A real man doesn't wait for the court to order it. He gets a check or money order every time he cashes his paycheck (and he doesn't sit around not working) and gives it to the mother of his child. He goes and sees that the home the child lives in is not in disrepair. He makes sure the car the child rides in is safe and in running order. He makes sure the fridge is full and the lights are on. He makes sure there is food in the cabinets. He offers to help the mother in any way he can. He doesn't wait for someone to make him. He does it on his own.

Assuming that the child is yours (if you haven't had one, get a paternity test but pay for a private party to do it rather than having the state do it) then yes you will owe child support regardless of whether or not you have a job. Depending on the judge they will either order you to pay based on state minimum wage or based on your "potential earnings" (which usually happens if you had a previous high paying job) and they can take up to 50% of your income.
Sorry guy.

Sorry, but as you know, you don't have to be married to get a girl pregnant- and if it is INDEED your child--and since you will be paying for 18 years, a paternity test may be in order-it's certainly cheaper than 18 years of child support....that being said,as you probably guessed by now YES! YOU HAVE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT. And they don't care if you're dirt poor- they can garnish your wages ANYWHERE to make the payments.

If the child or children are yours, then you definitely should pay the child support regardless of the amount. Find a job and take care of your child or children. The amount of child support varies from state to state so contact a lawyer and get a free phone councelling session to explain the situation to him and he can tell you what the amount should be based on the amount you make. If unemployed they will base it on the amount you made last year. They will use your income tax form to get the amount.

yes you will have to pay.. the courts base it on how much you have coming in and how much she has coming in and they figure out from that.. the judge will more then likely tell you to get a job. so i would get a job first things tomorrow.. get up everyday like your going to work but it will be to look for work. that will prove you have every intention of taking care of your child. if you want to go to school well you will have to do that on your time off from work like after work hours and weekends. you work the schooling around your job. the job is first because the child is first. good luck

You made the bed honey.. you have to lie in it!!.. You had sex.. got her pregnant.. you are responsible to help support that child.. at least that, if you are not going to be man enough to be a Father to him/her!..
How much?.. depends on where you live.. how much you make.. etc.. if you don't pay you go to jail!..
Some people I just don't understand.. how would you feel if the coin was flipped and you would have to raise that baby all by yourself..
GROW UP!!! and use a condom next time!

Yes, so you had better get to work and make an agreement with her on the amount before you end up in court, and pay an attorney plus whatever the judge determines is the right amount.
