It's important enough that it will kill a relationship if you don't have ever have it, but it is not *SO* important that it can hold up a relationship that is already dying for other reasons.

As my T-shirt says,

"Sex is like AIR! You don't really think about it until you are not getting enough!!!"

Sex can keep a relationship going long after is should have been dissolved. But in the end, it can not be the only thing holding two people together because someone else can also provide sex. BUT if there is no sex or sex drives severely unmatched, then you can kiss a good relationship good-bye.

Sex is very important to a marriage but it is not the end all in a relationship. Sex is overrated. Intimacy is not emphasized enough. Sex is just one part of intimacy. Being close and sharing personal moments with that special someone will bring you closer. Don't buy into the cheapened sexual theory that good sex is all you need. It won't save or serve as a good foundation for marriage.

I am in a relationship and the sex is good but it's not ALWAYS mind blowing. The relationship is good, sex is good, communication is good...mind blowing I guess is maybe 75% of the time. How important is that...VERY.

That depends on what you consider to be mind blowing sex. And that also varies by the couple. My fiancee and I both liek a slow flowing love making style, some people may jsut need the screaming porno style, we both like that every blue moon too. The openness and communication about meeting those needs are what's important.

Sex is important - but feeling a really intimate connection is what really keeps people together. Great sex can connect people but I think you can definitely get close to someone in other ways. Still, mind-blowing sex is hard to walk away from :)

To me, it is important. Of course great sex is not the only part of a relationship but I think it has a pretty substantial role. Coupled with intense emotional feelings for each other, it's what makes an incredible partnership

depends on a lot of other things too.. most women are emotional so when they have a bad day or what not they may not be in the mood for sex. but over all its important to have a very good sex life

It depends on if you really know the difference in good sex and mind blowing sex.

Sex is not what counts! The most important thing is the feeling of being wanted .

its not as important as most everything else. you can still have mind blowing sex but its not the first on my list of things i feel about my hubby or our relationship. honest, love, compassion, loyalty, respect and more.. those are the important things for me. the mind blowing sex comes in later..
