The chance to play in the World Series is so special, a team would never knowingly or deliberately lose a game. NEVER. But if I was a Red Sox fan, I might want them to finish the Rockies off in Boston. And as a baseball fan, I wanted a little more ball. Now we got to wait 5 more months...

There must be a few dummies living in Boston. The majority just wanted a world series win as soon as possible. Especially those of us who know that the Red Sox went up 2-0 in 1986 to lose 4-3.

It woulda been nice for the Sox to be able to celebrate at home with the fans, but I am TOTALY PSYCHED that they took the series in Colorado.

did you hear them play we are the champions after the game?no because the home team lost.you always want to win at home not on the road. In the nba teams will lose game 5 just to win game 6 at home. it happens more than you think. Its always better to win the title at home.

terry francona's WS record is on the line... he hasn't lost a WS game in his career, very selfish no?

giving the enemy a chance to come back may haunt them, so better play safe!
