I'm going trick or treating in Australia, dressed as an Alzheimer's patient.
How does an Alzheimer's patient dress?
What was the question?

That's a good question. It should be. Because I'm told that
the origin of Halloween began in England. Many centuries
back. Of course, they didn't call it Halloween. When people
came to the new world of North America they brought their
beliefs and traditions with them. People had been persecuted
for religious beliefs in England and that's why they left and
headed to the western continent. So things trickled down for the most part to the way we celebrate our
different holidays today, with the influences the Europeans
brought with them.
Being the original Australians were outcasts from England,
and as prisoners were forced to remain on this continent which was to become, Australia, forever, surely they also brought their customs ashore to be practiced
in the generations to come? Now I'm curious as to what
holidays besides Christmas, is observed in Oz. Maybe
someone can address that in a future answer to a question.

I don't know about Halloween in Australia.
My mother has alzheimers disease and it's just awful. There is supposed to be a vaccine coming out in the next few years. Because of my mother and her sister, and an aunt on my dad's side, all having it... that puts me at a high risk, so I will have the vaccine. Anyone at risk should be watching for this vaccine.

Don't know about the Aussies and Halloween - do know not much on the Alzheimers front, other than the possibility of stem cell treatments aiding in the disease...IF it is ever approved fully in the country.
