I'm going to fly down there the end of next month..and Jetblue offers flights going to either airport.

I've taken the shuttle to the BART station from Oakland into the city. It took a while, but it was pretty easy. I've also taken Super Shuttle from SFO into the city..costs a little more, and I forgot how much time it took. The BART isn't as accessible from SFO as it is from OAK, right?

Which airport should I fly to?

Legitimate answers only, please. Thanks!

I'd definitely fly into SFO, if the fares are the same.

If you haven't been to SFO in a while, the layout has changed. In 2001, the old International terminal became Terminal 2.

The new international terminal -- technically Terminal 4, but is effectively not numbered -- is divided into A gates (1-12) and G gates (91-102).

BART opened a new SFO station in 2003. It is located inside the airport itself. Once you arrive, just head for the new international terminal's G check-in area (where you can access the station directly). There's no need for shuttle buses at all nowadays.

either if you are going to take bart. If you are driving or taking a shuttle SF is a better option. SFO is just as accessible to bart as Oakland is. There is a tram thing from the International terminal at SFO to the bart station. It is a bit further and you have to walk most of the areas. But doable. Versus Oakland which is a bus from the terminal right to Bart. Same difference to me.

For me the only thing that would sway me would be the cost of the flight. Living in the Bay Area in Napa (hour drive away from OAK and SFO), I generally look up both airports to find whatever deal is better.

SFO would be the easier choice. The BART actually goes to the airport so you will not have to take any buses.
