We have had no rain for weeks. Anyone know what these are? I always thought mushrooms needed alot of moisture???? Am so curious about them. Thanks!

It is the cold i the night that draws the moisture down. Mushrooms are pretty smart 'plants'. They are underground trees that eat and store until it is time to grow 'fruit'. That is what a mushroom is, the fruit of the plant.

It only needs a wet environment to last as long as possible but not to grow. Also in moist circumstances the chance of spreading spores effectively is much higher.

I'd like to see a pic of them.

Eat one and see. Might be bad or could be the best vacation of your life. It would help if you could post a pic. I have never seen anything like that before. Take them to a school and ask a biology teacher. They would be more than happy to show them to their classes.

it might because of humidity.Cause i m from india n i hv see the same growing on wooden stand placed in our bathroom.So dont dare to hv those mashroom,its fungus only,
