My dad is! He has flicked rubber bands at my face, pulled my hair, threw plates at the ground and smashed them and just then he pretended to punch me. I hate him so much!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry that children have a parent with anger problems.
Honey, I am so sad for you. How old are you ? ~~~
I hope you feel comfortable speaking to your Mom about your fears & feelings.~~ I found out just this week that my son beat up on my 16 yr old grandson again. This boy is a good boy but his Father seems to resent him. If my daughter-in-law calls me again, from the state they live in, crying that she doesn't know what to do. I told her, I am calling the authorities in that state. ~~I hope I won't have to do that but I will.
My son needs help but so does my grandson. ~~
Good luck to you sweetheart & talk to a counselor at school if you can't talk or get help from Mom at home. God Bless You.

Aw hun, I'm so sorry!

My mom gets an evil look in her eyes when she angry. Her voice, her actions...you could swear shes about to strangle you!
My dad yells, screams, throws things around..Sometimes I feel like hes about to hit me.

First, my sympathies on your Father's lack of showing Love to you. I've been blessed in that my Father, never give me a spanking that I didn't deserve. And was never harshly cruel to me. My Mother, remains true to God's Word of Love and Kindness. I ask that you get your Father some Counseling. It may only get worse, if you allow him to do as he wishes. God's Love to you, Dear. I'll say a Prayer, for you.

No, nobody scared me when I was a teen ager neither when I was a child. I try to not get angry for silly things in order to not scare my little son. My husband does the same

Don't let his problems become yours. Hang in there best you can. I am sorry you are having to go through that. My Dad had some bad times like that and it can be horrible. After he quit drinking it got better.

My father was very abusive. He passed out daily beatings... My mother was an alcoholic and was too drunk to notice. I'm glad that I got away. Get away if you can... Good luck!

Your dad scares ME. I am worried about you and I will keep you in my thoughts. Is there anybody there to protect you from him when he gets that way? Do be careful.
