Not yet...can't wait till we can. I'll be on the first plane. My grandma went in 1959 just prior to the Revolution. She told me many stories of how fabulous it was...and also the poverty in the streets. And then I still remember how Fidel was a handsome, young hero. Well, he is still there and obviously still a hero to his people. His dissenters all went to Dade County or so it seems.
PS: Love that Avatar name. It's so apt.

I have several times and absolutely love the place, the Cubans are some of the warmest and friendliest people I have ever come across in my life, they will do anything to make your holiday even better for you, the beaches and ocean are to die for, so beautiful, the country is amazing with so much history and no matter were you go in Cuba your made to feel like a long lost friend, I love the food, its very basic, lots of fish and meat with fruit, salad and vegetables, pasta with beautiful sauces, beautiful soft and light desserts and wonderful ice cream, its not the place to go if your into fast foods like McDonald's or KFC as those sort of places don't exist on Cuba, I'm going back at Easter and can't wait.

Been to Varadero and also went to Havana city, and visited some of old villages of Cuba. What can I say, It's a Paradise...People are quite friendly, especially for tourists...The country itself is beautiful and worth to go there..The nature is amazing with great beaches...
Food, I tried few national meals, nothing special, some of them I just wouldnt eat because of the ingredients that looked not good for me, so I didnt risk..
Days spending in Cuba must be minimum 12 days, otherwise you will feel like you havent been there.
Inspiring country.

PEOPLE As anywhere there are a majority of good, friendly
helpful, warm people. However, just as in the city you live in there are shady elements.
FOOD I found the food very unexciting and bland to tell you the truth. After the first trip I started taking my own spices, hot sauces etc to liven things up.
Country Very beautiful, I found the weather excellent and I never experienced that humidity I have found in other countries.
I have been to Cayo Coco, Santiago de Cuba, Holguin and Varadero. I have never had a bad experience and whole heartedly recommend a trip to Cuba.
BEACHES Absolutely beautiful

Cuba is wonderful; friendly,, proud and giving people, great beaches, incredible history and lots to do. On November 30th I'm back for my ninth visit. Be sure to take in Havana it will be a highlight. The food at the AI's isn't always that great but everyone can find something they like. Thesites below might fill you in a bit. I hope you go. Ifyou go once, chances are you will return.
