Really hard to choose, having driven semi for a year, there are so many places
"where the sidewalks don't go"

Passaic NJ had issues with tiny roads for big trucks...
But the drivers were exceptionally polite... all 30 or so that had to back thru the previous 2 lights so I could make the left at the corner... even at 4:30 PM on a Friday...

Chicago bus station, 1989... 12 hour layover, a place where you didn't want to ask someone "Hey man, got change for a $100?" unless you are the one wanting to mug them.

Lots of places, and lots of situations, where the appearance of knowing what you are doing is key to surviving it... Or giving the impression that you are totally insane and a danger to oneself and others... equal opportunity maniac

Agua Prieta in Mexico. It's a little border town across from Douglas, Arizona. The locals are not fond of American Tourists. When we went, we noticed that most of the locals were very well armed. We stayed long enough to walk around the shops, but could still see the border crossing and we were there less than 30 minutes, it was one of the few times, that I can say, I actually was afraid we weren't going to get back alive. That was in 1999.

The armpit of America, Wichita, Kansas. What a horrible place. They street layout is terrible, and for such a small town, the crime rate is huge. It's also just a filthy place.

In my own state their are several I don't like but I will take Oakland as being both ugly and dangerous. Out of state I thought Las Cruces New Mexico was dirty and boring.
