1. A GUI is what we use in Windows or Mac - you point to a picture and click on what you want. This differs from a command line interface like DOS (if you've never used DOS, click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt and you'll see how DOS looked back in the day). Borders and whitespace make text and graphics easier to see and mentally organize.

2. Lots of programs supply templates. If you're using Word, for example, there are templates for you to use when writing resumes or fax cover sheets. If you're using a movie editing program, there are templates for you to use in creating transitions or titles.

3. Following #2 above, the templates depend on the program they came from. In Word, for example, the templates are Word documents that end in .dot.

4.Multimedia allows for a user/viewer to experience information in more than one way. People don't walway absorb information one way easily - some people learn by hands-on activities, by listining, or by reading. Multimedia presentations allow for users to experience information in more ways than one in the hopes that the information will come across better.

5. Working from home is great for some users, while it may be problematic for others. It really depends on what the job is and how much of a family life you have or expect to have. On the other hand, there may be issues with coworkers that don't work from home via the Internet - the home worker may feel isolated because of the lack of peer contact, or the office worker may feel slighted that they weren't given the opportunity to work from home.
