I had been helping the kids do their pumpkins and had cleaned out the gunk from under my nails and I think i pushed things down too much ... if that makes sense... and when I went to trim them I got lower than I would EVER go... the orijel is working pretty good but I am worried about the pointer finger on my left... OMG.....LOL... thank you all so much for the help so far... typing is hunt and peck... and yeah I do feel stupid for doing it, but ya know... everyone is human.

Neosporin Plus (generics work fine too), has a topical anesthetic in it. Cover with a band aid each time after applying ointment for up to 2 days. Let it air out (no Neosporin or band aid) whenever you can do so without bumping, getting dirty or irritating the tissue to promote faster. This should heal you up pretty quickly with less pain. Good luck.

soak your fingertips in ice water to numb them periodically over then next several hours. other than that, they will start to grow out again in a couple of days, and the pain will ease up naturally.
