I accidently spilled bright pink nailpolish all over the tile of my bathroom floor, and I spent nearly 30 minutes trying to wash out the stain because it seeped into the grout as well. I don't want to be charged for this...how can I remove the pink entirely???

And yeah, I tried the nailpolish remover...it worked for the most part. Now it's just kind of sinking into the grout and into the toilet bowl...

have you tried nail polish remover? depending on the type of tile you are dealing with you can use paint thinner, acetone or acetate. nail polish remover should do the trick.

edit* try gasoline for the grout, just a small amount and a toothbrush to scrub it.

you may be out of luck with the grout since its porous.

About the only thing I can think of is to grab some Rubbermaid grout cleaner from Menard's and a nice stiff grout brush from Wal-mart (about $1). The grout cleaner foams on contact with the grout. Let it sit for awhile then scrub the heck out of it with the grout brush.

The only downside will be that you have one really clean area and may need to scrub all of the grout to get it uniform.

I have learned one major thing about grout in the three homes I have owned:

1) I hate grout and if I ever have the opportunity to change out my floor I am going with good old sheet vinyl.
