No, people from Mediterranean countries such as Turkey, Greece, Albania, etc. are a part of the European continent so they are Europeans they are not the same as people from Northern India. People from India are called Indians (not to be confused with Native Americans). People from Europe are called Europeans. As far as race goes, scientifically there is really no consensus anymore about how race is defined. Many define race not by skin but by bone structure, specifically the skull. So in that aspect yes, they would be the same race because bone structure only significantly varies among 3 groups, Black, White, and Asian, so by using that definition you could only fall within those three groups. But where does that leave mixed race individuals and those who have varying shades of skin and hair, such as Hispanics, Native Americans, Armenians...? Most of our definitions of race are obsolete, race has really become a social and cultural concept, basically you are what you look and act like. If a person is from Pakistan and has light skin, hair and eyes, and has assimilated into western culture, he/she will be identified within the culture as white. So in a nutshell, the answer to your question depends on what your definition of race is.

Some people here dont know the difference between NORTH and EAST. The lady who answered she should read the question again or go back to school.
I am not from India but come from Northeren Pakistan. We settled in UK many years ago. My kids are light skinned and could pass for an European. I have many friends from the NORTH of Pakistan who look so much Eropean than the Europeans themselves. THey have blue eyes and light hair, some have blond hair. People from the North of Pakistan ( which used to be part of india 60 years ago) are very much meditranian people. Don't forget India is a huge country and they have many races settled there from centuries, Alexander the Great came to Indus vally and most of his army stayed back in the NORTH of india( now Pakistan) and married local women and had kids. I have a Romanian friend and spent alots of time in Romania( actualy I am in Bucharst now) and I notice they have many words similar to Punjabi language which is spoken in Pakistan and also in a small part of India. By the way PUNJABI is Euroasian language. You can check this on the web, wikipedia or something. So all in all the connections are there, you make up your own mind what you wanna call us.
PS: People from Eastern side of india look more like Asian/Thai/Philipine mixture and look nothing like the People from the North of India. And original Fijian people look like Oboriginies in Austalia or the Maori's of New Zealand or same as other polynesian islanders. They are totally different race. Yes, there are alots of INDIANS settled in Fiji who are immigrants from centureis ago.

If you are talking about Native Americans , no they are closer related to the Russians and the Mongols than those of the Mediterranean. I don't know about Indians from India. I haven't looked at a map of that neck of the woods lately.
