Do you think it is OK to support a Municipal Ordinance that forbids the showing of underwear, such as guys who wear their pants half way down their butts, showing their boxers to other guys and girls?

An Associated Press Poll asked of the youths, "Why do you wear you pants below your butt"? 90% of them said they didn't know; they just did it because their friends did it. They were not aware of the prison origination.

It may be true that Calvin Klein started it as a marketing strategy with Marky Mark. Klein was not intending on it going further. He only wanted to market his underwear by showing his name. Things went "south" from there".

A lot of people are stupid.Does that mean they need to be told what to do? Well it depends on what kind of impact their actions have on society.I don't want to sit on a park bench that someone's soiled undies have been rubbing against do you? This could be seen as a health issue as well -so in that case the city ordinance makes sense .

I think a municipal ordinance banning low-slung pants/visible undies is ridiculous... a waste of taxpayer time and energy. The goofs that run around with their pants around their thighs/knees will experience their own embarrassment at some time or other (when I see people dressed like this, I'm tempted to finish the job and yank the pants to the ankles - how hilarious would that be?)... or they'll live into adulthood and look back on their younger years and think (as I do) "What the hell was I thinking when I wore that?!" Or, when the undies trend gets recycled in 20-30 years, the ones wearing their pants this way now will be freaking out when their sons/daughters are doing it.

ABsolutely. Did you know that trend started in prison. Men who were already someones woman wore them like that to show they were taken. Bet all those teen boys don't know the true meaning.

Ch yeah...that sagging thing is disgusting & repulsive. It makes guys look like they're ready to sit on the toilet instead of doing schoolwork.

Yes, I think it looks awful for the pants to be below the butt.
I remember when people used to say "you sag, you fag". It was very rude but people would pull their pants up afterwards.

(((hugs)))

I would support it. to see guys wearing their pants like that, in my opinion, is the same as giving you the finger. it's very disrespectful.

I think it's pretty hot seeing a glimpse of a guy's boxers but too much is just weird and gross.

i certainly do- we need to support anything that brings about accountability and if parents feel it's not up to the courts , then it time they act like parents.. and make then keep them pulled up? be accountable and teach it and live it...
