I was 128, 5'7 before getting prego, I am now almost 38 weeks and i dont look big at all. I have gained 26 lbs thus far. People are constantly telling me that I look tiny and that there is no way I am due in 2 weeks. Everyone's body shape is different and especially how they carry the baby. I think my baby is laying more on my back, b/c my tummy measures 4-5cm smaller than the number of weeks I am, but U/S have shown the baby is measuring the right lengths and what. No worries, I'm sure you are completely normal!

At 5'7" you might not be showing as much simply because of your height. I also know that for me I started getting bigger by 34 weeks or so. As long as your doctor isn't worried about your baby and weight gain you should try not to be either. I'm sure that in a couple more weeks you will POP and wonder what you were worried about! Don't listen to what other people say. I think people always forget what's "normal' for a certain stage in pregnancy. I had people telling me "you're so huge" and other people saying "you're so small". They have good intentions, but usually don't know what they're talking about!

Hi there,
How your bub is sitting and your body shape, not size, are the things that determine how you look.
I have had 4 children and due to be induced again on Monday. No two looked or felt the same.
With my second I was huge at 32 weeks, he was my smallest bub by the way at 4 pound 6 oz. My 4th I didn't even look pregnant. I turned up to be induced and the midwife told me that they only do tours of the ward on a Sunday. She checked the book and my ante natal card twice before admitting me. Oh this was my biggest bub so far at 7 pound 6 oz.
So I would not worry about how you look. Strong heart beat and lost of movement is all that really matters. So long as your doctor is happy so should you be.
Best of luck for a safe arrival.

hun it all depends on how you carry. i have had 3 kids already and am 31 wks 6 days now. i carry in my back. for the first time with this pregnancy 2 days ago someone actually noticed that i was pregnant. i don't really look pregnant at all, i just look like i have a pot belly. don't worry about the size of your belly unless the doctor says something. you sound like you are gaining enough weight and if the doc has a problem he/she will let you know! good luck and congrats!

With my first pregnancy I gained 30lbs total but a lot of it was gained right at the end. I really didn't pop out until mid 8th month. It almost just seemed like it happened over night. I think everyone just kind of grows and shrinks differently. If you are super worried just ask your OB/GYN. He/She will definitely have the answer for you. Congratulations and good luck!

Dont worry. I am the same way. 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant and people think i am only 5 months. If there was something wrong your doctor would be telling you. My OB says that I am very lucky. Congrats. Dont stress about it. It is normal..

dont stress out too much about it!!!
i know its rude of others to comment but im sure they dont mean to offend you in any way.
i think it might depend on how your carrying the baby.
when i went for my ultrasound, my ob/gyn told me that the baby is practialy laying on my back bone and when i see other women who are as far along as me, i dont even look pregnant compared to them!!!!
i just look like ive put on weight!!!
im only 4 months though so i know it might change but at the end of the day, i know that im pregnant and i dont care what others think of my body!!!
remember that every pregnancy is different and you might show so much more with your next pregnancy (if you have one).
just stay relaxed and prepare youself for your bundle of joy.
i hope you have a easy labor and a healthy baby.
good luck!!!

Never listen to what people say about how you look and don't worry if you do look small. Different women carry different ways. The doctor will tell you if your weight or measurments is not big enough.
