I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, and I'm almost finished with my Master's Degree in Biochemistry. I really enjoy the stuff, but I like a lot of other things also. My next degree will most likely be a Juris Doctor (maybe JD-MBA) due to my love of law and political science, but I also like math, physics, business, economics, philosophy, astronomy, psychology, ecology, anthropology, history, religious studies, etc. The list could literally go on forever, and I genuinely enjoy learning about them all.
I really just want to go to school for the rest of my life... Does anyone else have this problem? Am I addicted to learning? Or do I get bored with routine jobs?
I'm not sure if I'm making the right move with law school. I have an enjoyable job in biotech, which isn't a very stable industry. I'm already 24, and I can't keep going to school forever, because that's too expensive. How do I figure out what I want to do when I have so many interests? Any ideas?

I have gone down... many things, many times. It doesn't matter which, one can always change to another if one wants.

You should be proud of yourself! I know that's not the answer you're looking for, but wow. So, my advice is to try a few classes in the courses that you are interested in. Take a few law classes and see if after those it is something you want to pursue.
I have that same problem, I get bored with routine. I've also heard that it's a good idea to volunteer for similar fields that your interested in - that way you somewhat experience what it would be like. Good luck.

I would suggest go for a job you love and that is stable .
Job Growth / Security/ Advancement/ Monetary perks is and always will be for me the most important factors.
If you really love learning then figure out what it is that you love about learning, is it that you don't have to grow up by being a perpetual student, is it that you just want to learn more things about a subject, or do you just enjoy being smarter than the rest of us... LOL

Yes, you must follow your heart....
I truly do no have that problem, I very much disliked school and college.... and what I have my degree in, I have absolutely no desire to pursue......
You will get tired of school, you may think you won't, but you will......Please don't be like my dad, he is around 56 years old, still going to school for so many different things, taking classes here and there, and he still does not know what he want to be.....?????? (saddest thang) I still say he should have been a preacher or a gospel singer...
Follow your hearts desire and passion.... your still young, so you don't really know right now..... But what ever is truly burning on the inside of your heart is what you truly desire to be..... it's not always what your good at, we all could be good in alot of things, ...... it's what is your passion, your burning desire, your hearts desire,..... what truly makes you happy and give you peace.....
Sounds like you need your own business, you need a challenge..... pray on that.....
I have always had a burning desire to sing, and write songs, and no matter what jobs I have upheld, what degree I have obtained..... I have always come back to music... (singing and writing) .... so I know that's my career, ministry, and life... it truly is my compassion and my hearts desire....
Best Wishes To You!
Take Care of you!

Maybe you are one of those people who really likes to learn, if you don't know what you want to do, you might find out for yourself after you spend a couple of years in graduate school, then you will really know what you want to do as your profession. When you have lots of the important degrees and you have lots of credentials then you could literally have any kind of job that you would want to pursue.

You need to become a college professor. They will PAY you to keep learning and you can live forever in Academia, which you seem to love. Unless, of course, you dislike teaching...
I suggest that you try to pursue some of your interests as HOBBIES. Take trips to anthropology sites, join an astronomy club, join SCA... This way, you can enjoy your interests on your time off, as well as in school!
Good luck to you!

Decide what you can spend you life doing. Not what make the most money or what is the least amount of work, but something you can dedicate your life to.
The rest are hobbies.

There is a book written by a young male multimillionaire called 'Reallionaire", Farrah Gray, and he says to ask oneself this question about a career path, "What would I do for years and years to come and not have to get paid?"
