Heating pad; Midol or Advil. When you are menstruating the body produces prostaglandins which are inflammatory...that's why the Advil, midol or Aleve help. Sometimes exercise can help if she feels well enough to do it.

I've had my share of cramps.

I had the same thing till i gave birth to my first child. I bought (at cvs) a Tylenol women's menstrual relief. It's a white short bottle with a purple label. Hope it works. Nothing but this worked for me!!

Heating pad, "kneading" her stomach with her fingers, pills and a nap. Supposedly laying off the caffeine before and during your period will reduce cramps as well, but I can never give up my Pepsi to find out if it's true or not.

Ibuprofen or similar drugs work, but start them 24-48 hours BEFORE the period begins, so they are in her system. If she is not regular, guess, but too soon is better than too late.
