alexander the great was an evil man. what can you say for a man who had attacked and conquered the world because of ambition and greed?
greed is evil. he is no different from hitler. it so happen that the greeks wrote the history about him.

I would say the romantic portrayal of him is rather accurate, as he was a young man and full of life and vigour, which inspired his men and his subjects.
However, to say that he wasn't a self-loving demigod would be error, because he was very much overly confident in his own abilities and demanded that others be so as well.

Alexander the Great wasn't evil, but by no means was he a "good guy". As with any ruler, there was more pomp on the surface than in the heart.

quite so. He might o.k. be the final conflict favourite of all time. The sheer length of his achievement is merely expressed is sq. miles, which isn't providers to communicate. even if in case you depict him as a devil or as a hero, Alexander the great has a gap reserved between the final people to have ever lived, alongside with Jesus Christ, Isaac Newton, Adolf Hitler, and Napoleon.

He was incredibly evil, not even did he enslave the people he conquered and abused them immensely, he also killed his best friends with his bare hands, and ordered several close advisors to death, not only that, he crucified all men at military age.

He was a brilliant tactician and an ambitious man. He was not evil, but I don't think he was a particularly good man either. He was reputed to be just and fair, and what more can you ask from a conqueror?

He had a brilliant mind, that's undeniable. His military talent is unquestionable. Yes, he was gay. Evil/good must be weighed in your own mind as you think about him. A demi-god? Ridiculous. As mortal as you or I. Still, a nice Q.

Alexander was an extremely intelligent and well educated man of his time. He was a Macedonian general and king and lived as those rolls dictated. He was undefeated.

He was gay, as many Greeks of his time were, and I found him very romantic; but it's all a matter of taste, I suppose.

He wasn't any kind of god, but he thought himself the son of a god and he made his horse a god when he died, I think. (The horse died, not Alexander; although he died later.)

He wasn't evil and did many things that demonstrate that; but you need to read a biography about him for yourself; if you are interested. He was mesmerizing and enchanting, even to those who knew him in life, which is why we are still talking about him.

Neither, he was just one lucky Macedonian who heeded his date with destiny. One thing going for him was his Greek education that made him open to the idea of a wider world.
