I am. People who get it usually have poor self esteem and hate the way they look. But plastic surgery usually makes them look worst. look at Michael Jackson for example. People should learn to love what makes them different. Whats your opinion??

I am against plastic surgery for the most part. I think it is used too much for silly reasons of insecurity like for breast implants, face lifts, nose jobs, etc... It is all about making yourself look like someone you are not or tryng to turn back the clock with things like the aforementioned facelift. Now, if someone was in say an accident or something and had a horible scar tey wanted to get removed, I can understand that, or sometimes it is necessary, for example, sometimes if someone suffers a bad enough broken nose or something, they may require plastic surgery, but for superficial things like geting bigger breats or whatever the case may be, I think you should be happy the way you were made - noone is perfect and that is what too many people are tryong to be and it is impossible, and this is all not mentioninig risks involved in surgery and the money...it isnt cheap by any stretch of the imagination and like in any surgey, there can potentially be health risks, so no, I am not for plastic surgery if it is only to try and make yourself look perfect. If it is necessary, or lke I said maybe have a horrible scar from a sports accident or something, whic is a minor procedure (I believe, not sure, have never had any type of surgery done to me before) then I can understand it.

I'm assuming that you're not including those who have a disfigurement. Like a hairlip, or burns from a tragic accident or something. They have the right to look normal, and plastic surgery may be able to help them.

Plastic surgery may make SOME look worse, but certainly not everybody. Plastic surgery can be a life improvement.

I think you are making an assumption that everybody looks good to start with, so why mess with perfection? Not a true assumption. People can be born with a hairlip, or big honker, or weak chin. In these cases, surgery can improve a person's life.

Personally, I avoid going "under the knife" for any reason if I can help it. That's just a personal fear of surgery.

However, I can certainly understand wanting to imrove ones' looks. I had badly crowded teeth, and was very embarrassed about my looks. When a dentist pulled the 6 teeth in front, and gave me a nice, straight partial plate, what a difference! I gained confidence and self assurance right away. It improved my whole life.

Plastic surgery can do the same, for many people.

Sometimes plastic surgery helps some health problems. You mentioned Michael Jackson, well he got his nose done because he had a deviated septum and because of complications that happened when he caught fire during the Pepsi commercial. Another is those women who have a mastectomy and they get breast implants because otherwise they wouldn't have any. I also think that if you want to get plastic surgery it's your perogative to do so. I don't have a problem with it at all.

I'm not against people getting plastic surgery but I just hate when people do it for superficial reasons. I hate when people think plastic surgery will change their whole life, or they think it'll make them feel better about themselves. I know it's hard for some people to do but they should learn to love they way they are and not try to do something so drastic and permanent.

More power to them right? I believe there's a limit to every thing we do. Like say someone gets a boob job in their mid 20's and by the time they hit 40 they already had at least 4 boob jobs done, that's ridiculous. I don't think it is wrong to get work done here and there, but when you keep going back and back for the same thing you have real self image issues. Just keep it simple and remember less is more.
