Europe as very efficient and almost perfect??? Europe has been in an almost perpetual state of war for the last 500 years. Other than conflicts to remove European colonialism, North America has been relatively peaceful with the exceptions of Texas border conflicts and the War Between the States. The French and Indian War, the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Spanish-American War, the Mexican War, World War I, and World War II all started with European aggression. Europe still tries to resolve religious conflict (Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Basque) with military solutions. Much of European unification has been driven by Fascism. European nationalism and American nationalism are very different. One is used to divide people, the other to unite them.
