So, I have a sliding glass door to my backyard from my bedroom. This door shuts almost completely, but there is a visible gap towards the bottom of the door. At its widest point, its about half of an inch. This wouldn't be a big problem, except for the fact that I live in Buffalo and it's already starting to get in the 40s here. How should I go about fixing this gap? I'm not exactly the biggest handyman, but I was thinking using cauck or something to put there. Also, any suggestions on insulating these windows/glass doors for the winter? Thanks!

Sound like your door is out of adjustment. Check out this web site.

Look at the bottom and the top ends of the outside doors, there should be screws that will turn, probably frozen with junk, but, a little wd-40 then screw them to adjust, up or down.

Put some plastic over the one that doesn't open for the winter. Seal it.
