How does TV camera crew create that Imaginary first down line (yellow color).

I am un sure how thay do it thies days, Back it the day thay used CG (same program that puts thar name at the buttom at the screen) and a Lazer like deal on the 1st down markers, Thats why it used to trun off when thay ran past it, Cuz it broke the lazers lock.. So i am sure it is done diffrent now.
