Change your phone number! Even if the hobos are poor, there is still a possibility that they will have access to a phone, or the number could somehow end up in the hands of another person. Either way, the situation could get pretty serious. I would suggest calling your carrier right away and asking for a new number as soon as possible! It never hurts to be safe. Next, either find a way to automatically change the number your friends have you listed as or send out a text message to everybody with the new number in it.

This is a violation of privacy and imposes a security risk. I suggest not answering the phone and changing your number. Make certain they don't know where you live. Some street people are out of prison with questionable histories, criminal records and mental health problems. Some have drug addictions. Meeting you and knowing where you live would be the perfect opportunity for them to steal from you or get you into a bad situation. Report the matter to the police by filing an incident report if any problems arise. Make certain not to see this friend again and do not speak to him anymore.

well, to get even, send their number to a prison(or other hobos)... BUT that would be wrong and putting yourself on their level.
what you do is be upset that they gave it to a stranger and didn't respect your safety... I would probably explain it to them and make sure they didn't do it again.... Change the number and don't tell them. Especially don't tell them your address...
Hope this helps!

They wouldn't be my friend anymore. That's a really stupid and dangerous thing to do. Numbers can be used for reverse look ups and they could find out where you live.
What the heck is your 'friend" playing at? Are they trying to hurt you?

I wouldn't worry, they do not have a phone to call you if they are hobos.
