If he has that much money, shouldn't he be donating some the money? Why are you getting so excited over this and trying to start something up? And I don't really care who the richest man is or the fact that he is Indian. Good on him. I congratulate him.

I also noticed that he inherited the company that made him his money - "Reliance Industries, which was founded by Mr Ambani's father" - and the fact that India has one of the lowest GDPs - ranked 133 in the world with an average of $797, 29% of Indians live below the poverty line and 80% live on less than $2 a day - 35% lving of less than $1 a day.

It's good that India has the richest man, maybe he can bring the 29% out from under the poverty line.

I wish I had just 10 pecent of Mukesh Ambani's wealth..lol...hey there is no one who will be "jealous" of anyone just becoz he is an Indian and also has the greatest wealth. I am an Indian too..and it just makes me feel proud..and happy that he has done it...but does it really effects our lives??? or the way we live? Except the share market ofcourse!!

The fact remains..Indian WAS a Developing Asian nation when I was born and is still referred to as Developing nations.!! for how long I dont know....But America was a developed nation then and even now...

By the way its not MAXICO..its Mexico!!

well i agree an indain is now the richest person on this earth but is it going to make difference to those millions of people who earn 20 Rupees a day. also this richness is based upon market capitilaztion. if market goes down today he will ni longer will remain the richest person. i agree we should apericiate and learn from ambani's how they acheived it but we should also kept that fact in mind that untill and unless the last person in the line does not enjoy that wealth it is of no use

If all the people in India suceed in their life ten only i will accept tat we r up. Most of the people are not getting their basic needs .One person becoming rich in the world will not help all the indians.
We can tell proudly we have the richest man in this world. Tats all.

All things being equal, a Chinese person should be the "richest" in the world.

In fact, we probably have no idea who is the real richest because in places like China (and India) people can easily hide their wealth.

Why would you ever want people to know anyway, as they would only want to rob you?

First of all, your link doesn't lead to any "confirmation", it leads to a blank page.

Second of all, so what if you are right? That Indian guy who is super rich probably isn't you. The fact that one of the richest people in the world is someone ELSE doesn't make you any less of a pathetic loser who has too much time on his hands, sitting around on the internet posting BS bragging about how one of "your people" is rich.

So explain to me why anyone should be jealous of you or any more jealous of some rich person who is Indian as opposed to any other rich person in the world? ***.

Before Mr. Mukesh Ambani, some other indians Mr. L N Mittal , Mr. Ajim Premje etc have already ranked no 2, no 3 ......but now Mr. Mukesh Ambani has reched the no 1 position...its pride for all indians....and congratulations to Mr. Mukesh Ambani and his entire team....

We indians are still polite and value our values which is our main strength.

Suno gaur se duniya walo...chahe jitna jor lagalo.....sabse aage honge Hindustani.......cheers

Maxico?

"INDIAN"?

Do you really think anyone cares? So he's rich... cool, who cares, whatever. I'm neither shocked nor jealous nor impressed. I couldn't care less who's rich and who's not. Nor was I aware that I under-estimated Indian people in the first place.

Btw, the link doesn't work.

There's a saying, "YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYBODY..."

There's only one (1) Indian richest people. How about the rest?

Guy, I guess you don't have to be that rude. And be that much proud. Remember, wealth can easily be expended.

What you have to do and strive more is to bring the whole INDIA on top . . . then proclaim that you're all great.

I don't underestimate India but I thought Mukesh Ambani was born in Yemen.

Forbes says he is a resident of India, is that the same as citizen?

I'm pretty sure he is not Indian.
