May be then their name can be said in the same breath as the Yankees?
Nah....not really. Yankees legacy is untouchable.

I don't think they can win 19 more world series by 2300
if yanks can get their pitching straight, hell they would win every other year

Well it will take them more than 19 years maybe a century and by the time they get to 26 the Yankees would have about 5-10 more ws it wont happen it will take a long time it took the Yankees about 100 years to get 26 ws and the only way the Red Sox catch us is if the Yankees just don't ever win a ws which that wont happen

probably faster than the Yankees will win another 19...I think they have more Championships in this century.
ever think about why the Yankees won so many times in the old days..can you say the were loaded with Italians, and the Italians were running the gaming world at the time

Oh golly, AT LEAST 19, so you can breathe easy until 2026 at the earliest that you'll still have your so-vital bragging right.
I can just see it... April 2019: "Ha ha ha! Stupid SUX fanz! We still beat u 26 too 18!!! Bostin flurks*!"
October 2024, Red Sox celebrating extended-record 18th consecutive championship: "Well, that's was pretty good wining 18 in arow -- but the YANKES STILL ROOL 26 to your piddling 24! Botson flurks double deep!!!"
mid-November 2027, the Red Sox having swept the entire postseason tournament, 24-0, bringing home the 27th championship: "Oh sure, 20 titles in a row, but you gusy just bought all of them. Just waite til the YNAKEES get back in2 the playoff! Then we'll be bakc on TOP with 28 or more than 27 NEway u mercerenaries!!! And AROD shoud retire already hes got the HRun recerd. Bostin still flurks!!!!!!!"
Red Sox: 27 in '27.
* New curse word, will enter the language in 2014.

you know, when a guy starts to talk more and more about things that were done in the past (and in this case, not even by you), it's a sign that there is a genuine worry that the future doesn't look to bright.
I suppose since you can't rub it in anyones face that the Yankees won this year, er, or this century, I suppose it's only to be expected that you go back to this 'untouchable legacy' that you are clinging to.
Oh, by the way, I am pretty sure that the Montreal Canadiens have about 24 stanley cups, yet, I bet you don't see anyone in the hockey section bragging about that.
Hiding something small are you?

There does seem to be great insecurity here...do Yankee fans stay up nights at a time in a paranoid haze and wonder loudly about this?
