"UNDER 18
* A Certified Copy of Birth Certificate.
* Social Security card.
* If parents are married, one parent has to appear to sign for the underage individual and they must have a valid ID.
* If the parents are divorced, the parent with managing conservatorship must have a Certified Copy of the Court Order, and valid ID. If the conservator ship is "joint" (both parents) then both parents must be present valid ID."
Just because some people don't know their mind until they are older doesn't mean some people don't know earlier. I knew at 22 I was ready. You may be the .05% of teens who know what they want. It is unlikely....but there is a super slim chance you may be.

why in the world would yo uwant ot get married at 16 or 17? you need to understand that this person you are with right now as a teenager is not the person you are going to be with for the rest of your life. this person is just a teenage fling, and will soon be out of your life because we all change from the time we are teenagers and the time we reach 25. you will have diferent likes and dislikes bythe time you reach 25. it is not worth getting married right now unless you want to cheat the system or have a military situation.other than that it is not ok to do. you are going to be young and divorced. it is not going to be worth getting married to this other child( i hope he is your age). there is no reason for you to get married? why? because you love each other? well if you do then you can wait to be with each other, go to school, go to college, and have a long engagement, whats the big deal with getting married now and having your parents sign for you. thats not cool. why not wait till you ahve your own house,job, and car until you get married? what do you have to offer each other right now? nothing but other peoples hard working stuff. i say you get settled first and then get married when you are 24, I bet you wont feel the same about each other. take advice from someone who has been in yourr shoes. wait and dont get pregnate. good luck.

Check out the website below. I'm curious as to why you would want to get married at 16 or 17 . I was 19 when I got married to my first husband and we were barely married 2 years and most of that we were seperated. I know I thought I was in love but looking back I know I was infatuated. I ruied my future career goals and now at 29, I'm working at a job I hate and though Im married to a wonderful man now we barely make our ends meet. Think About It!--From some one whos been there.--- Hope it works out

you really need to give yourself time to grow up. I married my first love when I was 20. We were together for 5 years before we got married. guess what? It only lasted a year. Neither of us had time to really grow up. He was all I knew and I realized I was missing out on a lot by being married so young. Everything changes when you get married. You don't believe it until it happens.Right now, you should be more concerned with getting an education and making something of yourself.

Getting married at 16 or 17?
DO NOT DO IT.
The BEST advice anyone can give you.
I wish you would take it.
You will NOT be the same person when you are 20, 25, even 27.

Why the hell would you want to marry at your age and live a life of bitterness...trust me it will happen because at your age, you don't know what you want nor what to expect out of marriage. I didn't even know what I truly wanted from a man until I was in my 30s. What makes you know more than I do about marriage? How about finish school, go to college, and be a bigger person than you parents were. But, we know you won't.
