cheaper tests measure higher levels of HCG

First response for example measures 20mm(?) of HCG, where as the cheaper tests measure levels higher, at lets say 50 or 100 mm.

So you would have to wait atleast until your missed period to take the cheaper tets.

Some people say they are the same, but in my experience, you get what you pay for. I used a 99 cent one and it came out stark white...and I still felt like I was, so I bought an ept, and it was totally positive. As long as you have the hormone it should come up...but if it's negative, and you're still suspicious, spend the 10 bucks and get a good one so you know for sure....

I know people say they dont work cause they are cheap. But for me it did I had bought the EPT and Clearblue and it would come out negative then my friend brought me 1 from the 99 cent store and it came out positive and I was 9 weeks along.

I think so in my opinion.
Last month was the first time I used one from the dollar store it said that it could measure 25 MIU, I had no problem reading the result, but I used the Clear blue easy and got an evaporation line within 10 Min's.

Yes they are :-) The price doesn't seem to effect how sensitive the tests are. There are a lot of websites out there that actually test the tests to see which are more sensitive/less sensitive. Generally they're all the same :-)

Yes- but the thing is you may not get a positive as early as you would with the more expensive brands.
