A pot roast with browned potatoes and a turnip in it for flavor. My Mom made her own Cream Puffs with vanilla pudding inside. Yum!

depression glass, it was my grandmothers and it's a pink dish (I have several) with a smooth center and a diamond pattern on the underside all the way around the dish (maybe 3 inch wide band of the diamond pattern). I just love glassware from that time, all different colors. I bought English bone china for myself back in the mid 1960's, the one with the gold band. And bought replacements when the movers broke some. Had to give that away. Then another time I bought the same pattern in the mid-1980's but to have to give it away again. I guess that pattern wasn't meant to be for me. I ended up with Correll. Early on my marriage I had stoneware with the onion pattern, loved it.

I hate to say it but I can't remember anything she made that stands out in my mind. It's not like she was a terrible cook but well, maybe she was. My daughters love what I make one of their favorites is Mom's Delight!

Macaroni and cheese with hotdogs and diced tomatoes!
You simmer the sliced up dogs in a pan with the canned, diced tomatoes then ladle it over the prepared mac-n-cheese.
Every single time (without exception) I make this for someone they love it.
