Wow, the question of Articulate Design...
Your Question is suggestive that ones sleep is inhabited by 'monsters' that give birth. The only 'monsters' that my perceptive sleep gives birth to is ones With Flashlights who Guide me to watch out for the Ones I percieve in the awake state during the day.

My monster was real, he is dead now. I still live in pain in my emotions, but I am thankful that I am "aware" and discovering these awful feelings. He died from Cancer and I still spoon fed him up until the day before he passed. I never had a chance to imagine monsters; I slept in fear everynight. There were no perceptions then. It's wonderful to discover there can be now.

Entities that writhe and slide across the smooth trails and leave sandpaper behind in it's acidic slime. Creatures that come unbidden to clasp at my fears and shake the leaves of discontent all about my feet. Salty urchins of vinegar and razors to cut and cover my wounds with their spit, terrible beings of mind and soul so cunning and powerful I have no recourse but God. Those are the monsters of my perceptions, they are the ones that ride the horses of sleep and travel down the channels of horror giving birth to pain and fear.
Strong creatures that drive me to my Lord Jesus for safety and salvation.

When I was in the first grade it was giant cookies with steel trap type jaws that ate people.
When I was in the third grade, it was that I was different. Everyone else had heads shaped like the tops of the ice cream cones at dairy queen.
Now, it's zombies. Yeah, I was watching Night of the Living Dead again.

the type that quickly engulf my torment to spew it out again
only to realize that it wasn't to harm me but that the sickening
pain to grow, seize my mind, becomes out of control
the monster will sleep when during the day
keeps track of my movements so that at night
when i am at peace strikes
to devour what is left of my sanity
of this i am thankful as i have no need of it any longer.

My monsters are viscious creatures with closed minds, unrealistic ideas and unhealthy desires. They have no regard for decency or truth. My monsters are full of self-righteousness and self-importance. They have no love in their souls and no dream of tomorrow.
