I would sit next to you if I went on your bus. Just sit next to someone else and let them ask you questions.

I talk to everyone on my bus. I have a little section where I sit with my friends, but sometimes the bus gets so packed that I end up having to sit with the gangstas in the back. I'm scared of them, but even they can be good company if you start out with some casual conversation. There was this one boy that used to sit by himself everyday. I wanted to talk to him because I knew that he was new to our school and he looked so lonely all the time. Then one day he stopped riding the bus, and it turned out he drives to school now, but I never got to be friends with him, and that would have probably made school a little happier. So don't be afraid to talk to people. They're just as afraid of meeting new people as you are You can't lose anything by sitting with someone else that looks like they might be alone. Who knows?, maybe you can make many new friends.

I would say that the best thing to do is just try being more open to people by making the first move. I was in a similar situation when I first moved and it was quite difficult. One day the bus was quite crowded and so I asked to sit with someone. He actually became my first friend and we are still really good friends to this day. So yah, people aren't that bad, but I do agree it can be a little intimidating. Just take a chance, you won't regret it.

I don't think I am on your bus, but I would like to sit with you, What would you like to talk about? Cause...I mean the seat was open.

You know, I used to be the same way...listen to music, read a book, riding the bus can be lonely when you have no mate to share with but this might be a perfect time to reflect upon all the good in your life, not the bad. Sometimes space is a good thing. Cherish the moment!

Don't be sad, I'm sure it's just cause they don't know you. I would most definitely sit by you everyday cause I don't want a lot of other people sitting by me! We would be bus seat buddies!
This is a good time to observe everybody, meaning you should be picky about who you are friends with anyway! I wouldn't want just anybody to sit by me.... I you find someone interesting and not to crazy then you initiate a small lite conversation every day, not to pushy though. In no time they will get to know you. Remember to just be polite, funny, mysterious and not saying a whole lot, is not necessarily a bad thing! Don't try to hang with the snobs you will only get your feelings hurt more!

Aw, I'm sorry.
People used to have to stand up on my school bus it was so busy, so people had to sit next to each other.
I'm guessing it's a new bus you're catching because you've just started a new school? If so, don't worry about it, you'll get to know people. Maybe someone is just as quiet as you and is going through the same thing but you haven't realised it yet.

Strike up a conversation? No, seriously.
I was the really shy kid in the corner for most of my life, but college made it necessary for me to get out there and start talking to people.

"Hey, I like your shirt/shoes/necklace/hat/etc - where did you get it?" is the easiest way I've found to start something up. Make sure your compliment's genuine, though.

You could also ask if they're in so-and-so's class or if they've heard the latest news about [insert school story here] or whatever.

You just have to be willing to put yourself out there. Honestly. If you don't talk, people just look over you.

Good luck, hun!

if you don't start talking to anyone.... that would just make it more difficult on you.....
bring something on the bus (make sure its not dorky) that may bring others attention to at least look at it and notice you. Sit 'near' the other kids and if they're not having private conversations then just kinda be in on it. Like if they just have loud conversations not really to aware or care much about whats around them...
on my bus, its really not hard to be in on a conversation. U don't have to talk if you don't want to just 'be' there, they'll acknowledge you. if you feel they start feeling that you don't belong just act like ur just bored on the bus and happen to hear. Don't be clingy and just listen to them

I used to be like that. Try sitting next to someone when you get on. You'll feel weird at first but you'll get used to it and be able to talk to people more confortably after a while.
