Socialism.
The battle is whether Americans need more taxes, regulation, control over their lives, less liberty, and more government programs.
Conservatives like me believe that we need lower tax rates, a simple tax system, less spending by at least 20%, reducing crippling regulation that destroys businesses, less of the nanny state, and more solutions through the private sector.
This is the battle for the White House in 2008. Look at the democrats running and they are running on a socialist platform. Hopefully, the Republican nominee will be a conservative or it will be Hitlery as president.
1. Corruption- you have less when you have less government
2. Terrorism-you win it when you engage the enemy like conservatives want.
3. Immigration-solved if you are willing to enforce the borders. Conservatives in the House are the only group that will.
4. Infrigement on rights is simple. Less government intrusion, more liberty.
5. Debt-once again a less spending and tax mentality will solve this. Not all debt is bad.
6. Health care-solved by less government and use of the private sector.
7. Social security-solved the same way health care.
All the items you list are by products of your list.

America is full of corporation lobbyists that make pre emptive campaign contributions that line our politicians pockets to keep thing moving. Cheaper oil for the corps that is selling it means more money in the poloticians pocket and money to advertise them selves as the best canidate.
Medical lobbyists believe that universal health care will eliminate the large paychecks doctors recieve for specilist professions. Such as a brain surgon or some other high level of medical knowledge. Many doctors arent doctors because they want to help people, they enjoy being rich. Universal health care will kill all these 100K operations and large lump sums of money. Lobbyists believe this will cause a drop in available doctors and specialists willing to go through with the long ammounts of school. Profiteering within peoples lifes is the best position to be in, pay me 100K or die from a brain tumor. Which would u choose?
And the war which is widely unsupported, has turned into another vietnam, just not as bloody. There arent enough troops and our taxes are shooting up sky high. Money is everything in a capitalist society. We cant pay national debt if we cant generate money.

I think the idea of electing Democrat polticians is the biggest threat to America today...their socialist programs,depending on taxes from people already overtaxed will kill this nation...
