ok maybe i didn`t make myself clear on this...
U know when u connect to the internet there would a symbol that looks like a computer at the bottom right of the screen saying requiring ip address and blah blah and so on its that 1.
for example when i connect to it it would say

connected to 12345 (unsecure)

(ignore the 12345 i`m just using it as a subsitude for the network name)

so anyway solve this?

I take it you are speaking of a WIRELESS connection?

Seems to me you might be based on your information. If that is the case, the only way to make this a "secure" connection is to go to the router / Access Point that you are connecting into and set wireless security!

If that is your AP/Router you should connect to it with a wired comptuer, set the wireless security to on, set a password or passphrase. Then reconnect your wireless card, it will then ask for a password, enter the same one you set on the router. It will then say "secured".

If you aren't talking wireless, the security of the internet is totally on the server end NOT your machine.

Are your sure it's not just the site you are visiting that is unsecure? Many sites are unsecured, and if they are unsecured you don't want to be putting any of your personal info into them.
