and................ do you think if they still pushed things like that ( earth day where you plant a tree - the drug classes where they bring drug dogs in to your school when your in elementry ) would have an effect ? did it effect any of you ?

the real bear, Smokey was discovered back in the 50s in the lLincoln National forset nearthe town of Capitan, NM. it was found under the charred remains of its mother, and was one of the only creature to survive one of the worst forest fires ever. At the time the US Forest Service was looking for a mascot/cartoon to help advertise forest fire awareness, so when they found the bear it was the right tim eright place. they were actually thinking of using a frog as a mascot beforehand. I believe it was a male bear but not 100% sure on that. He is burried at a museum in Capitan, NM since the early 70s. There have been a fe wmore real bears to hold his name since.

Well I actually saw Smoky the Bare a few days ago somewhere, I wish I could remember!! I don't think the drug thing would work. We had D.A.R.E here when I was in elementary school and about half of the people I know were smoking weed at some point in their life. I think parents need to be a little more like parents and not their child's best friend. They should also spend time with their children and show them and teach them about drugs, sex, and other important information. Parents these days seem to be only good at making children, not taking care of them or teaching them anything. I think the Smoky the Bare was a cute and good idea. Overall, it is the parents fault for not listening to their children, talking with them, and being a parent not a buddy to their children. That's what has changed the most over the last 20 to 40 years, the way parents and their children interact with each other. =)

Should of campaigned-only you can prevent horrible cooking that will end up burning your house
