Has any Muslim ever held political office in the US? Maybe city council member, judge, anything.
I'm talking about born Muslims, not that one guy in Congress who converted to Islam.

Just because of some terrorists, don't decry the whole Muslim community. The Irish Republic terrorists were no Muslims. Jesus was not crucified by Muslims.
America was / is patronizing many Muslim kings / Dictators / Terrorists ( including Osama Bin Laden and the Talibans ) when it suited their convenience.

Why do you need to know this? Afeasf A is incorrect. Obama was exposed to Islam by his father at an early age (~6 to 8yrs old). His mother was an atheist. I'm not of aware of any US officials of Islamic faith. Below of a list that you could investigate to find answer.

Obama was a convert? I did not know that, if that's who you're even talking about. eh, that's probably it for now. There will undoubtedly be more in the future. Islam is spreading like wildfire in the US.

No one is keeping track, since religious freedom is what this country was based on and it really is not important to most people to know, as long as the person does a great job.
