Isn't it so fun to be wittiness to everything that a baby learns how to do? Well, if your baby is advanced than I think that a lot of us have advanced babies. My son (4 mos) is not one of them as he couldn't be bothered to roll over. My daughter was rolling over at 8 weeks and according to What to Expect the first year that is perfectly normal. My son was about 2 and a half years old when I figured out that the reason he did not like the swing was because he was in a reclined position. Once I put him in there upright he was happy to be there (until he fell asleep and his head was all smushed into his chest lol). Both of my children were bearing wait on there legs by the time that they were 9 or 10 weeks old.
Congrats on the birth of your son! It sounds like you are having a lot of fun!

All babies are normal... and different. You'll find he's advanced in some areas, behind in others, and average for the rest. It's better to not compare your child to others, as a baby or as s/he is older. It just ends up either making yourself look snobby or putting pressure on your child to live up to your expectations. Most babies aren't rolling over until 4-5mths if I remember right (although that stage was almost 2yrs ago so I forget), but laughing can be before then. Some babies keep the walking reflex as well, which is normal.

Sounds like he is doing great. My baby girl was bearing weight on her legs pretty early too and laughing a little bit. She isn't rolling over yet though. Just keep doing whatever you are doing and he will move along quickly.

Most babies should be able to . . .
Hold up head at 45 degree angle while on stomach
Hold head steady when upright
Laugh and smile
Recognize your face
Open and shut hands
Kick legs
Some babies will probably be able to . . .
Recognize your voice
Hold up head at 90 degree angle while on stomach
Bring both hands together
Squeal and coo in delight
Do small mini pushups
Some babies could possibly be able to . . .
Bear weight on both legs
Bat at toys
Reach for toys and objects
Roll over
Turn to familiar voices
Make a razzing sound

My son did the same. He was sitting without support befores six months. He was walking by ten months. But, he didn't talk as quickly. As they say...early walkers, make late talkers.

every baby is different and everyone wants to think their kid is wonder child. but keep encouraging. and be careful about letting him put weight on his legs too early it can cause a baby to be bowlegged if his legs arent ready to hold the weight and you keep pushing him to do it
