you don't. you're human and therefore apt to make mistakes throughout your entire life, be it before a break up or after. that's okay, as long as you learn from them and try not to make the same ones over and over.

You make choices based on the information you have at the time. You may look back and think you made a mistake, but you do not have the luxury of hindsight when making decisions. You try to get as much information and pray about it or if you are not a praying person, think about it before you make a decision.
Good luck.

When I have broken up had NOTHING to do with morals as much as it had to do with it being the right thing to do. I know it wasn't going to be happy, it wasn't going anywhere, so why waste anyone's time. I don't know what it has to do with morals other than those who believe it does, never break up or don't get divorced.

Not enough information, too general. If either spouse has broken or breached their vows, either through misrepresentation, fraud, lying, cheating, abuse, etc....then it seem fairly clear cut....why should one party uphold the vows and committments if the other is not? The only exception is when children are involved, as what is in their best interests should be placed as a priority. Sometimes in order to protect them, the moral obligation is to leave, other circumstances it is to stay together.

You'll never know if you make the right decisions until they're made. Sucks. Unfortunately we have to make hard decisions in life with no knowledge whether they will help us or hinder us. At the end of the day you try to make the decisions that you can live with.

Just stay in tune with your emotions. If something doesn't feel 100% right, then don't do it, think about it, and figure out why it doesn't seem right.
