everyone says if u die in ur dream u die in real life, but i think its true because did u ever notice right before ur about to die in a dream, u wake up all sweaty or dizzy or confused?

You will die in real life, no matter what you dream. We just don't know when.

Some people do die as a result of stress induced heart attacks or because they quit breathing for too long. These are extreme cases. Most of us wake before hitting the ground in a dream where we're falling, or we fly away or find another way out. People who don't get enough sleep, use certain drugs or medications are more prone to stress induced nightmares that cause physical harm.

I've died in my dreams before. A number of different ways, too.
Actually, I have sort of a theory about this topic.
See, our brains make up our dreams to distract us while it converts short-term memory into long-term memory. So, a dream should be something semi-simple in order to keep us busy. If we think about it too much, it interrupts the process of memory conversion and may even mess it up. I'm still not exactly sure.
Anyway, since people don't exactly know what's going to happen to them after they die, they subconsciously think too deeply into the subject, interrupt the brain, and then they wake up.
Now, I'm not exactly sure so don't go quoting me or anything, but that's just what I came up with and it seems to make sense to me.
I think the only reason why I've died in my dreams before is because I have some kind of crazy imagination that just goes along with everything so it doesn't really bother my sleep cycle.

Actually, I was once shot in the belly during a dream I woke up as I 'died', and my 'wound' continued to hurt for about 30 seconds after I woke up. So I'd say no.
Of course, that may well have been a past life memory rather than an actual dream...

I have died before in my dreams, and obviously, since I am writing this now, I am not dead. It's actually very weird to die in your dreams, it's like a burst of pain, and then black. It's really creepy.

How can anyone actually know this?
If you die then you can't tell anyone that you dreamed it and it happened.

... umm i died in a dream... i also flew and also cut someones head off... one time i even drove off a cliff and at the bottom was giant snake... then i smoked a ciggerate and woke up... dreams are crazy

it depend on who you are. i have died in my sleep but not in real life, but i have heard of People that do die in their sleep due to a heart attack or stroke possibly due to their dreams
