Whatever you want. Some people turn the thermostat down at night to save money, but if you turn it too far down, it may take several hours to heat back up. There are thermostats with timers built in, so you can have the heat turn on an hour before you wake up.

Start at 74, and have some blankets near the bed incase it is too cold for you. Also have a fan near by incase that is too hot..... Make sure you sleep with it at that "test temp" all night. Because the way it feels will change as your body goes through the different stages of sleep. For me, I have to set it colder before hand, and use blankets, but after I am alseep an hour I kick the blankets off.
The next night: If it is too cold at night, turn it up by 2 or 3 degrees the next night, visversa if it is too hot. Soon you will find what is perfect for you. Again, keep it at this new test temp all night to make sure you get an accurate reading.

ok everyone will say this is too cold - i would say about 65 - i get cold very easily but at night you are under the covers - invest in a timed thermostat and set it to come on higher if necc - before you get up for work - i just dont see the point in running a thermostat at 70 when your in the covers - i also turn it off during the day and if its a day i stay at home i try to cut it off or back low between 1230 and 430 or five -

68 to 70 on a normal cold night. Once you get in bed and warm you don't need the heater bumping all night, it is a waste of electricity and is not good to breath hot air all night! That is what gives people pneumonia, not cold air. Notice how hospitals keep surgery rooms very very cold? That's cause germs can't live & multiply in the cold sterile environment. They love warm places! You sleep & breath much better if the air is cool. In the dead of freezing winter of course you will want to bump it up to 75 or so.

depends on your comfort level. I think for many, 68 - 70 degrees Farenheit is pretty normal. Folks that are older (and tend to get colder) may like it as high as 74 or higher.
I've found that anything around 65 gets too cold and anything much above 70 gets me a bit too warm.
Good Luck!

To save on your heating bill, get yourself a down comforter and turn the heat down to around 65 at night.

I like 69, but my baby boy won't do without at least 70! Anywhere from 65-72 is the 'norm', usually
