I would say Walter Payton. Brett Farve is very good, in the top 10-15 best quarterbacks of all time.

Joe Montana is the greatist football player to play the game and im a big big fan of brett and have been since he played for southern miss and will be in the HOF and is the best quaterback to play the game today other then peyton manning..

Barry Sanders, He did so much in his time with the Lions, that means he did it by himself, do you remember watching him Damn he was good. Favre is good, he never gets hurt, throws a lot of int's, and a lot of td's hes a great player due to his longevity not always his skill. But also a genuine nice guy.

That's a tough one, as different skills are needed at different positions.
I'd be tempted to take either Jim Brown or Lawrence Taylor in that argument though.
