Why would the CV joint be going so soon?
I was told it might be this because it makes a clunk sound when its cold , esp when ya turn. It happens on bumps too.
Why?

cv joints should not make noise over bumps. i think the noise you are hearing is worn sway bar bushings. they clunk when you turn back and forth, when you rock the van, or over bumps. they are not expensive.

There is a rubber boot that protects the CV joint and holds in the grease. If a sharp object punctured that boot, the CV joint could go bad very quickly.

Take it to at least two other shops and ask to have it inspected.

Is it out of warranty?

If the boot gets torn, the joint looses grease and dirt and water gets in, Then the joint goes bad.

MOST LIKELY THE BOOT HAS A TEAR IN IT AND THE DIRT GOT INTO IT AND RUINED THE CV-JOINT.

CHECK WITH THE DEALER BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY.
