for a year now I have been trying to prove to my dad that the guys in animes&manges are really guys not girls but he will not give in. So will some one pleas tell me why all the guys look so girly

Take a look at the anime and manga you're reading/watching. What is it about? Who is it made to appeal to? A lot of male characters in such things are drawn in such a way to appeal to the female viewer. For example, Gundam Wing. This is a show primarily aimed toward boys...as are many shows about giant robots. However, factor in characters with long, flowing hair and a beautiful appearance and you have a good many girls hooked...just to watch that character.
Also take into account that these male characters who appear feminine actually do something within the show. They are plot-drivers and they have fight scenes. Typically women within the anime will not be so involved or so central. Even with the womanly appearance, the fact that the character is male still allows them to participate actively within the series and not be demoted to a love interest or damsel in distress. There are few examples of beautiful women within animes ever being nearly as useful as their as beautiful male counterparts.
Otherwise there really is no reason that some male characters are drawn in such a feminine way. Musicians, models and other people in the public eye also tend to have a similar look. Best of both words, something aesthetically pretty but still undeniably male.

I've wondered about this myself. It's weird because in classical Japanese culture, men are supposed to be really tough and hardcore (think Samurai) and women are supposed to be quiet and humble and subservient. But in Anime, most of the male characters look totally girly and often have weak, unconfident, girly personalities. And the female characters are often really tough and outspoken and badass. Who knows why they make things opposite in Anime?
It is funny to see the way the guys look, though. Like for example, I remember watching my friend play an anime-style video game and it's going through the opening cinematic and it's talking about how this one guy was the greatest warrior to ever live.... then it shows him and he flat-out looks like an attractive GIRL! That's the greatest warrior that ever lived???? weird.

the real reason is because japaninese artest try making male charaters look like a guy you girls would look at as a dream guy youll probaly never (nothing aginset any girl) get.

coming from a true asian here.
It's kind of a fad in eastern asia right now. Men have to be as pretty as the girls. not that anyone minds. i like my boys pretty.
