My husband is my hero. He was raised by an abusive man who slept with every woman in the neighborhood and flaunted the afffairs in his mother's face. When my husband was 5 he would pass the time in the streets, sleeping on tops of cars or helping his father bag up weed to sell. His mother was beaten on a daily basis, never held a job or aspired to be anything in her life. Any and all emotions other than anger were balked at when displayed. My husband was kicked out at the age of 13 and lived on the streets. Through years of adversity and recovery from his own addiction to drugs (not to mention the total removal of his parents from his life) he has become the ideal man... the type of husband and father any woman would be proud to call her own. He is a provider, a mentor and the solid rock foundation of my family. This man truly is my Hero.

The person who I think is most heroic is my friend Alam. When she was 17 she got diagnosed with lukeumia. With her friends heading to college she had to stay behind and get well. It took three years but she got through it. She is now in remission and she is my hero.

My brother. He's a marine. He's been to Iraq three times, he has his orders to go again... *sigh*
But aside from that, he's able to look past a lot of bad things that have happened and put aside his differences to accommodate to others feelings and needs. He has matured so much and grown into a wonderful man. I honestly don't respect anyone more.
And he's about to be a daddy! His wife is going to pop anyday now... We are all so excited. :-)

yes,a truck driver Friend that risked his life to save a stranger with total disregard for his own safety than refused to be announced as the person who did it.
your not a hero if your paid to do it,only if you do this thing because as a human you do it for it's own sake.the reward is the knowledge you did what 1 human does for another because it is right.
