Well, first of all you should put it all under common denominators:
1. 2 1/8 = 17/8
2. 3 3/4 = 15/4
3. 1 1/2 = 3/2
Common denominator is 8, so:
17/8+15/4+3/2=(17+15*2+3*4)/8=59/8=7 3/8
